One of the first things that I check for when I'm hired to build a website is a Google search. Quite often the search yields inaccurate or outdated business information. Or photos that don't accurately represent the business or organization. Having the correct information listed in a google search is critical for informing your customers about your business hours, current services and general inquiries.
So how do you fix it? Well, the first thing you need to do is head over to Google My Business. If you don’t have a google account, you can create one there. Once you're logged the first thing you will be introduced to the dashboard. The dashboard enables you to make changes to your business hours, monitor reviews and add photos, etc..
If this is your first time logging in, you will need to have your account verified. The verification process involves requesting a mailed postcard to your business address. Prior to getting your verification code any changes regarding your business information will not go live until your account has been verified. Hopefully, this information is useful to you, and if you have any questions feel free to contact me.
